Inkberrow Primary School
2024

Visits are once again planned by all 7 classes of the Inkberrow Primary School, as part of their Science Curriculum.  The visits will take place between 21 May and 2 July, and will be supported by Millennium Green Trust volunteers.

2023 Visits by Inkberrow Primary School

7 visits were carried out in June and July 2023. Trustees and volunteers enjoyed welcoming IPS staff and children to do their nature and science studies in our outdoor setting. It is a joy to see the children learning and having fun in the fresh air - even if the weather for some of the 2023 visits was rather cool!

2022 Visits by Reception and Years 1 to 6

Trustees were pleased to welcome all seven year groups to the Green in the spring and summer of 2022, together with their teachers / TA's.

The pictures below show Pond 2 prepared for children to do pond dipping, and adult volunteers and school staff supporting the children's investigations into the pond habitat.

We did pond dipping and 'bug' hunting
and looked  at plants and habitats.
We caught a great crested newt and
lots and lots of red and black frog hoppers.

Children from the Robins Year 1 class enjoyed a great morning learning about trees and flowers at the Millennium Green.
Leaf identification was fun!
We learnt lots of tree names by matching their leaves.
Wild flower books helped us to identify the plants.
Close examination of the plants was very interesting!
